Advice for Migraine Prevention
Migraine prevention is for people who experience migraines regularly enough that they affect daily life, work or wellbeing, rather than the occasional isolated attack. Instead of treating each migraine as it happens, preventative treatment aims to reduce how often migraines occur and, for many patients, how severe they are.
This service is aimed at patients who experience frequent migraines (generally 4 or more days a month) or whose migraines are having a significant impact, and who may benefit from a regular, ongoing treatment approach rather than only acute relief.
