Further Information
What it is
A medicated cream containing betamethasone valerate (0.1%), a strong anti-inflammatory corticosteroid, and clioquinol (3%), an antimicrobial agent with both antibacterial and antifungal properties. This is the unbranded equivalent of the discontinued Betnovate C cream, formulated for conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and rashes where infection risk is high.
How it works
-
Betamethasone valerate: Reduces swelling, redness, and itching by blocking the release of substances that trigger inflammation.
-
Clioquinol: Stops the growth of bacteria and fungi, helping to treat and prevent infections that can worsen skin conditions.
How to use
-
For adults aged 18 and over.
-
Wash hands before and after use (unless treating the hands themselves).
-
Apply a thin layer over the affected skin 2–3 times daily.
-
Leave at least 30 minutes between applying this cream and any other topical product.
