Frequently Asked Questions for FemSeven Patches (50, 75, & 100)

What It Is

FemSeven patches are transdermal HRT designed for women who have undergone a hysterectomy or need oestrogen-only therapy. Available in three strengths (50, 75, and 100 micrograms), FemSeven continuously delivers estradiol through the skin to supplement declining oestrogen levels during menopause.

How It Works

FemSeven patches work by gradually releasing estradiol hemihydrate into the bloodstream. Estradiol is a bioidentical form of oestrogen that mimics the hormone naturally produced by the ovaries. This helps alleviate menopausal symptoms and reduces the risk of osteoporosis by maintaining hormonal balance.

Directions for Use

  1. Application Instructions:
    • Apply one patch to clean, dry skin below the waist (e.g., buttocks, hips, or abdomen).
    • Avoid the waist, breasts, or irritated skin.
    • Press firmly to ensure adhesion.
  2. Weekly Replacement:
    • Replace the patch every 7 days with a new one.
    • Alternate application sites to avoid irritation.
  3. Forgotten Patch:
    • If you forget to change your patch, apply a new one as soon as possible, then resume your normal schedule.
