Frequently Asked Questions for Kliofem

What is Kliofem?

Kliofem is a prescription HRT tablet used to treat the symptoms of menopause, which can include redness, sweating, vaginal dryness, and irritability. As a continuous treatment, it’s taken daily without breaks and is suitable for women who have not had a period for over 12 months. It works by supplementing the body’s decreasing levels of oestrogen, helping to restore hormonal balance and ease menopausal discomfort.

How Does Kliofem Work?

Kliofem combines two active ingredients:

  • Estradiol (2mg): A naturally occurring form of oestrogen that alleviates symptoms like hot flushes and mood swings by compensating for the body's decreased hormone production.
  • Norethisterone acetate (1mg): A synthetic form of progesterone that helps to protect the womb lining from excessive thickening caused by oestrogen.

This dual-action formula addresses hormonal imbalances and provides relief from uncomfortable menopausal symptoms.

How to Take Kliofem

  1. Take one tablet daily at the same time each day with water.
  2. Swallow the tablet whole—do not crush or chew it.
  3. After finishing a 28-day pack, immediately begin the next without a break.

If you miss a dose:

  • Take it as soon as you remember if it's within 12 hours.
  • If more than 12 hours have passed, skip the missed dose and continue as normal—never double dose.

If you wish to stop taking Kliofem, consult your doctor first to manage any potential effects.
