How to Use Wegovy® Pen

1. Prepare the Pen:

   • Remove the pen from the refrigerator 30 minutes before use to let it reach room temperature.
   • Wash your hands with soap and water.
   • Check the label on the pen to ensure it is the correct medication and dose.

2. Inspect the Pen:

   • Check the window of the pen to make sure the solution is clear and colorless. Do not use it if the liquid appears cloudy or contains particles.
   • Remove the pen cap.

3. Select the Injection Site:

   • The injection can be given in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.
   • Rotate injection sites each week to reduce the risk of skin irritation.

4. Administer the Injection:

   • Press the pen firmly against your skin at the chosen injection site.
   • Press and hold the button until the yellow bar stops moving. This ensures the full dose is administered.
   • Hold the pen in place for 5-10 seconds before removing it.

5. Dispose of the Pen:

   • Dispose of the used pen in a sharps disposal container. Do not reuse the pen.
