Zumenon

Zumenon is an effective oestrogen-only HRT used to relieve menopausal symptoms. It contains estradiol hemihydrate, a synthetic form of oestrogen that mimics the hormone naturally produced in the body.

This therapy is typically prescribed to women who have had a hysterectomy, as oestrogen-only HRT carries an increased risk of endometrial cancer if the uterus is intact.

Zumenon is prescribed to treat a range of menopause symptoms, including:

• Hot flushes and night sweats.
• Vaginal dryness and irritation.
• Low mood or anxiety.
• Reduced libido.
• Joint pain or stiffness.
• Sleep disturbances.

By supplementing declining oestrogen levels, Zumenon helps women manage the physical and emotional changes of menopause.

During menopause, oestrogen levels naturally decrease, leading to symptoms such as hot flushes and mood swings.

Zumenon contains estradiol hemihydrate, which replaces the oestrogen that is no longer being produced by the ovaries. This helps to alleviate menopause symptoms and improve overall quality of life.

1. Dosage: Take one tablet daily at the same time, as prescribed by your doctor.
2. Method: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
3. Continuous Use: Each pack contains 28 tablets. Start a new pack immediately after finishing the previous one, with no breaks in between.

For women with an intact uterus, Zumenon must be combined with a progesterone treatment to reduce the risk of endometrial cancer.

While many women tolerate Zumenon well, some may experience side effects. Common side effects include:

• Headaches or migraines.
• Nausea or abdominal discomfort.
• Leg cramps.
• Irregular bleeding or spotting.
• Weight changes (gain or loss).

Severe side effects (rare):

• Symptoms of a blood clot (e.g., swelling, redness, chest pain, or breathlessness).

• Unusual breast changes, such as lumps or dimpling.

Stop taking Zumenon and seek medical attention if you experience severe side effects.

Zumenon is not suitable for everyone. Avoid taking it if:

• You have or have had breast cancer or endometrial cancer.
• You have unexplained vaginal bleeding.
• You have a history of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack.
• You have liver disease or porphyria.
